​ so there is this new show called utopia and my boyfriend and I watched it and at first I excited but after watching it I can't help but feel disappointed. I feel as if the producers went about this experiment all wrong because they basically took people who don't even know what a utopian society is and threw them together and told them to create one. And then those people were going about it all wrong. First off if you saw the show there was the alcohol incident and rather than eliminating the alcohol which caused and will cause most of the problems they choose to almost kick the guy out. Second they were taking votes. I think a utopian society is more based on rules than a democracy. Like they could've said " you get so many chances before this happens. If this this and this happens then the consequences are." And then everyone has to obey it instead I f voting and playing favortism. Also I as I watched this show and talked about it with my boyfriend we realized that it's basically impossible to create a utopian society. If you read the book and I mean read not watched the movie the giver the author did an amazing job creating such a society but there were flaws in the system and there always will be. I think the experiment isn't going to work they would have to start from scratch with like new born children rather than 21 yr olds who think there on a show
