Anyone using Mirena IUD??

Question

So I had a baby June 26, I had my IUD placed august 19 and I hadn't had a period since I stopped bleeding after giving birth. When I got my period after getting my IUD it has lasted 21 days now!! I called my gyn and she said that it is fairly normal and could possibly last up to 3 months. Has anyone had a similar experience?

I got my Mirena back in May of 2014 The first month it was regular my second  month it was on and off but the whole entire month. The third month I stopped getting it totally. Sometimes thou I spot for about a day or 3 than I am good I did a lot of research and also asked my doctor befor she inserted it. Good Luck! Just call your doctor.

It took a while for my body to get used to it too. Had a long 6 weeks of what was like a very light period. After about the 3rd month everything stabilized. I still get my period, it definitely didn't go away entirely for me like they said it might. But my periods are very light. I also get a day of spotting around ovulation.

No I never got one when mine was in at all and honestly I've conceived 16 times with no issues conceiving (carrying yes) but since it was removed almost a year ago I can't conceive even when actively trying I blame the mirena but I am going to the doctors soon there maybe another issue I'm hoping so but also sometimes it can take.
