IUD makes harder to conceive after removed?

Question

I got an IUD before I was married and have never had a baby. I heard that it may possibly make it harder to conceive after having it removed. Is this true??? Worried about it, not planning on a baby for at least a year but if it effects anything I want to change BC before then.

I had an iud for 5 years got taken out April 15 found out was prego June 30th

I had an iud for nearly 5 years... It can make ur uterus lining thin , but all my dr advised is that a take it out wait 3 months before ttc to let everything go back to normal & for the uterus lining to thicken. The 3 moths I have spent healthy eating exercising reading books and taking  folic acids / vitamin d supplements. We are due to start ttc in 2 weeks. X

I had my IUD removed the month before I fell pregnant.

​It is just the same odds as if you didn't have it in. Getting pregnant can take a good 12 months. As long as you track your fertility then you are on a road to success. Glow managed to get me pregnant that quickly because I followed everything like clockwork.

Had an iuD for 2 years, took it out in June due to really bad headaches. Miscarriaged in aug. Got my bfp on Christmas morning.
