How did you tell your family?

Hello, I am currently living in Germany with my husband. He is active duty in the Army. We just found out that I am pregnant! We want to tell the world but, we want it to be special. Since we are so far away we plan on sharing the news over skype but, I want a little more pazaz! Any ideas!! Any one else in this kind of situation?

We made these wine bottles, told them we brought some wine for them back from our trip. The labels say "drink this for me, I'm a mommy to be!" "Baby sanders coming Spring 2015" ​

I wrote "were pregnant" on a plate with a sharpie and backed it in the oven at 350 for 30 mins. I made a pasta dinner and used the plate for my husband. So while he was eating he found it and was in total shock! :) he started crying, it was amazing!​

We're going to put these in a cookie jar. My family gets together every Friday and my niece always gets a cookie. We're hoping we can make it through dinner!​

We did it! We told our parents. It also happened to be my birthday when we told them. My husband likes to make me cute videos with a bunch a pictures of us for my birthday or our anniversary to look back on what we have done. But, this year we added a few pictures making it obvious that I am pregnant.  We skyped and emailed them the video and told them to watch it because it was so cute what Levi made me for my birthday! When they got to that slide their faces and reactions were priceless!! It was the perfect way to share the news!!

We made these for all the grandparents and aunts and uncles before we told anyone else. ​Most people live here so we had them open the gift. I showed my sis and her hubby theirs over FaceTime. We were fortunate enough to visit everyone else. You could make something like this and mail it. Have them open it over skype!

For my partner's parents we bought a children's book and wrote "read this to me in April 2015" with the ultrasound picture. For his grandma we got a cake that had we're pregnant on it and my mum that lives in another state we bought a photo frame that says "guess who's going to be a grandma" with bubs ultrasound photo :)

Following as I have been thinking the sane thing. We arnt pregnant yet but we live in Hong Kong with our families in Canada and Australia so know we will tell them via skype and FaceTime but also want to add something to it.

I told my brother and sister by giving them congratulations cards and wrote in "on being an uncle/aunt" and put an ultra sound picture in there :) they were shocked!
