OPK - can you have high E3G but never ovulate?

Question

I'm using the Clearblue Advance which measures E3G (estrogen) surge first for high fertility, then LH for peak fertility. I've had high fertility (blinking smiley face) for 4 days now - can't figure out why it's not shifting to peak fertility?!  (solid smiley face)

I took Clomid and then tested with that same brand you're using and it give me a Peak smiley on CD 15. The next day I tested and it gave me a flashing smiley. My 21 day ovulation test then said I didn't ovulate. Bunk!!

I used this test for the first time this month and got my two days of high fertility (Friday night, all Saturday, Sunday morning) and stopped testing once I got my peak (non-flashing smiley) Sunday night. The directions do say that if you're getting all high readings you may not be ovulating or ovulating later in the cycle. Maybe call your ob and see what they say. My tests lined up with my cm so I think it works.

I had the same problem! Was so pissed I did a little experiment and ran it under tap water.....still got a flashing smiley!!! Such bull. 
​Have never received a peak reading from ANY ClearBlue product. I only trust and use First Response!
