Confused about dates??

So I know when i ovulated and that'd make me 2 weeks 6 days, but my midwife says I'm 4 weeks 3 days? How does the dating work?

They go by the start of your last period. That's how they get 40 weeks,  10 months times 4 weeks= 40 weeks.

Everything should base your time on the start of your last period, so look at those dates. They time it that way because there is no way to determine your exact day of fertilization.

So when I'm looking at the pics of what it looks like now do I look at the 4 weeks 3 days as that's the count from my last period? Or do I look at the pics from 2 -3weeks as I know that's when I ovulated??
