how do you bring up to your parents that you want to go on birth control when you are 16?

I couldn't go on a field trip because I had my period, and that was the last straw, I said "mother. I've had it. Take me to your doctor. We are putting a stop to this shit." Apparently she only put me on birth control because I had bad periods though, so that's probably a better strategy.

I told my parents I started because it will help regulate my periods. And why do you want to stray them?

Answer

If it's that uncomfortable for you, you can get birth control from a family planning clinic and your parents don't need to be involved. On the other hand if you want them included in your decision, I would say the best route to take would just to be honest with them.
