Is it okay to hide pregnancy from your parents?

I am just curious on your opinions. Whenever i do succeed in TTC I don't want to tell my parents right away. I dont want them to look down on me, or hate my fiance for getting me pregnant. For some reason this isnt stopping me from trying. I just know my mom would flip out and scream and cuss me for getting pregnant, and Im sure.my dad would do the same if not worse. Im afraid of them hating my fiance too. I just wish my parents were like my fiances and would be happy. And how long can/should i hide from my parents? Im also afraid they would force me to get an abortion. Help!

Are you an adult? Do you live under your parents roof still? If not, who cares what they think? They can't force you to do anything, unless you are a minor.

You sound underaged and still living with your parents. I don't know that it's the best idea to be attempting to get pregnant at this time. Perhaps after you've finished school and are living independently... Trust me, parenthood can wait. Adulthood should come first.

Ok I was scared to tell my mom, I'm 21 and engaged and 13w. I knew she would yell and say how disappointed of me she was. And to add to it I'm the baby of my family and this is going to be her first grandchild. But you have to just bite the bullet. I had me and my faience sit her down and talked about it. She was angry and didn't speak to me for a few day. But she slowly came around, I still get judgmental comments but she's more supportive and actually rubs my belly and is knitting a baby blanket and hats for me..So trust me do it like a bandaid just do it quick and get it done and over with so your parents can start realizing that you having a baby is such a blessing! And baby's bring you so much joy and happiness :)

We knew our parents would be happy for is but still waiting until 12w to tell them. Good luck, and when the time comes I hope you get a better reception than you're expecting.

When are you and your fiancé getting married? Have you thought of waiting to get pregnant until after the wedding? That would save lots of drama! Also, first being married takes some getting used to and it's helpful to not have the distraction of a baby on the way! Plus, you won't have to find a wedding dress to fit your bump :)
