How do you handle cramps?

The beginning of my period always brings with it two-three days of terrible cramping. How do you ladies make your cramps a little easier to handle?

Water, heating pads, midol, all of those:) and getting active. It literally take the pain away.

I usually try to sleep it off which works. Other times I'll use a heating pad.

I usally just curl up into my bed and sob from pain. Lol, not always, but sometimes they get bloody painful! (No pun intended. Literally.) I usually try the distraction method and watch Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. Yes I'm 16. And yes, I watch cartoons.
