Missed period? Possible causes?

Question

I haven't had my period yet this month and I should have. My last one was from August 19-22. I normally start my period every month around that time. So far this month I haven't started my period. I'm not pregnant because I'm not currently sexually active. What could be other possible causes? It's starting to worry me.

It could be stress! I had the same problem and was a month late so I was bugging out, but I finally started! Hang in there! I'm sure there isn't anything unnatural wrong!

It could also be new intense exercise routine if your not taking in enough calories. Or losing weight too quickly. It happened to me in high school when I ran cross country and indoor/outdoor track all 4 years. My sophomore year into the beginning of my junior year I didn't get my period. For a year and half I didn't get it. Awesome but not because if you stop getting it for more than six months your chances of osteo prepaid are higher, not entirely true always but higher chance. I'm 5'1 so my weight being 85-90 pounds in high school was normal for my height but my body isn't like it. Now for the past 4 years I've been running for a division 1 college. Running is more intense but I have the education and knowledge to take care of my body. Although the during the summer or hard months throughout the year when I'm training I might miss a period and that's OKAY. It comes with the nature of being a female athlete
