Can BC regulate my cycles?

For the past 2 months ive been having irregular cycles 35days then 41 days before all this irregularity ive had the normal 28day cycle...will birth control regulate this?

Yes. When you're on bc you don't have a real cycle, it's what's called withdrawal bleeding. That means that your body adjusts to the hormones and when you stop them for a week each month (with the sugar pills, taking the ring out for the week, or removing the patch, etc.) your body reacts thinking it should have a cycle, so you bleed. But you more or less control when that happens. That's why people on depo, minera, or the continual method of the ring have few, short, or no cycles at all. It's not foolproof because you're trying to trick eons of evolution with synthetic hormones, but for most women it works well enough. (I happen to be one of the unlucky ones that it doesn't work on)
