Have any of you gone through the HPV treatment process?

Im 21 years old and recently had to go through this. My curiosity is; how common is it? What treatment did you choose? How did it affect you/ what was your experience? I've met many women who have gone through it but none seem to have been affected mentally like I was.

I haven't gone through treatment but they put me on antibiotics and i had to keep going every 6 months I was so mad when I found out I had hpv  I had never been with anyone but my partner at the time he gave it to me. it seems to be clearing up I found out about 4 years ago that I had it definitely  likes  to stick around My doctor  said if my abnormal  cells were present I'd have to get some kinda cyroscope thing I believe I think it where they look at your cervix up close hopeful  when i go back I'll have good news that why I always use protection  now I will never do without  again it a huge mistake.

Sorry! I guess I should have worded this better? The yes or no is for if you have contracted HPV, the treatment and the experience of that. I'm not talking about the vaccine. But I would like to add... should I still get it even though I've already had the virus?

I had laser abrasion last year for my HPV and I got my pap smear this year and it is all clear. 
I don't think if you get HPV, it means that your partner is cheating. Please find more information about it belown

I have HPV and I'm going though treatment now! I never got the shot to pervent HPV. The doctor said that it could get raid if it but I have yet and It's has been so hard on me and I feel nasty..this has taken total controll over me.

My treatment wasn't that bad, but mentally, I had a very difficult time dealing with it. I was embarrassed, sad, and very insecure for awhile, probably because I contracted it from my cheating fiancé. I had to go through it twice, because the first time didn't get everything, and the second time, I was also very nearly panicking.

I think I may have answered the poll wrong after having read the following comments. I haven't contracted HPV so I haven't had a treatment. I assumed you were referring to the vaccination.

​So yes. It was mortifying. My actual dr was amazing but the one I seen before him... Prob the worse experience I've ever had in my life
