Have you tried the patch, sponge with spermacide, diaphragm with spermacide, also if you are done having children have you thought about having your tubes tied or more of a permanent solution?

I feel like I'm at a dead end. I'm a mother to 3, but can't have any more children at present. I've tried the depo, made me gain weight like crazy. The pill made me sick and made cramps unbearable. the IUD is totally out of the question, just left the dr today trying to put it in, the pain was so bad I had to stop him. I had my daughter almost 2 years ago and I haven't been on anything since. I was breastfeefing and that seemed to be great BC, but suddenly my period came back and I got pregnant and had to have an abortion 10 weeks ago. I NEED birth control because FMA with VCF isn't secure enough for me.

I'd like more kids eventually, hopefully, but not anytime soon so something permanent isn't an option for me. I think I'm definitely going to try your suggestion though, the combo method with the sponges... I wonder if my insurance will cover it. I wouldn't do the implant again, the scarring and pain was just not tolerable.

Some sponges you can get over the counter and spermacide is over the counter. Also i was talking to a friend that is a GYN and now they make an over the counter film that you insert before sex time differs from brands but it is effective and not very expensive at all. She said check the area around condoms, they have come out with lots of contriceptives for women that are not expensive and work well read the box of each to determine how effective it is!
