Blood test over urine

Husband and I have been ttc. I have had negative pregancy test at home. Just had a blood test done. Waiting for the results. Is it possible to have a negative urine pregancy test and get a postive blood test? I am over a week late in my period. I have had no spotting or bleeding at all. Has anyone experience this???
