Why do I bleed whenever I take folic acid?

Ive noticed whenever I take folic acid I start to bleed abit, this has happened alot of times so ive stopped taking then, I bleed untill I stop taking them and im pregnant

I have no idea why that would be? I'm curious as why this would be? I tried doing a Google search and only found others questioning it and the obvious why to take folic acid prior and during pregnancy... do you already eat foods rich in folic acid? Definitely talk to your dr about it and in the meantime focus on getting folate through diet...
