What is the reason you don't give up?

Do you ever feel like just giving up? Like your scared you'll never get to hold that beautiful baby you have been picturing all your life....Like maybe it's just never going to happen.....For all those TTC after so long, how do you have the strength to keep trying. What thought or thing or hope do YOU cling to, to never give up????  Just looking for some great words or whatever from some of the ladies that have been trying and trying....

I pray A LOT!  I believe that God would not put this strong desire to be a mother and have children (and a strong desire in my husband) if He was not going to fulfill that desire one day. I feel like giving up sometimes, but my faith pulls me through.

My husband is my number one!! When i have those bad days, and want to give up he reminds me that we shouldn't. I have to remember that by me saying "i give up", i'm not being fair to him. This is his family too! When we decided to start a family, we decided together! I keep going because he helps me see the lightat  the end of the tunnel. He reminds me that sometimes the best things take the longest to get to us!

This might sound silly, but i carry on because we have to! I had a miscarriage a couple of weeks ago, which destroyed me, but we're talking about TTC again before xmas. We have no fertility issues that we know of, so for now, its the only way we'll get our babies :)

Because for some - like me - becoming a mother is not a choice. Rather just a part of who you are. You cannot change it anymore than you can change your eye color. So you keep going forward. But I do think that sometimes we make the mistake of doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. TTC is not like that. You have to listen to your body. And your doctors. If they say to lose weight, you have to lose weight. If they say to eat better, you have to eat better. And so on...

My husband and I aren't TTC at the moment but hope to by next month. I had a devastating MC in December of last year. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about my little one and I'm still sad and I cry occasionally. I didn't have a job at the time so I sat at home deep into my depression thinking that a baby would never happen for us. Two months ago I was hired my a family in my hometown to watch their three year old and 5 month old. Last week I was rocking the baby to sleep, she was so relaxed and warm and I thought," This little one isn't mine and I feel so much love and peace in my heart. I can only imagine how I'm going to feel rocking my own children to sleep." It was that thought that keeps me positive about the future. And you should too, ladies. Stay poaitive and hold your chin up high. We're women! We were made to be strong! And don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

My husband and I have been trying for over 9 years. I'm blessed with many neices and nephews. We joke that my 3 sisters got the "golden" eggs. DH and I know it will happen when the time is right and when the time does come, we will feel that much more blessed. Baby dust to all!

What keeps me going is my step kids and my husband although both at times make me think okay it's okay that it didn't happen yet. But I have raised my step kids since birth (except my oldest she's 18) & their mothers do nothing for them. All I know in life is my kids & that will never change. I've seen with my own eyes that women did make motherhood a choice where as with me, it's apart of me, my babies are just that my babies. I hope to one day create a baby with my husband but I know that he already gave me the best gifts in this world and even though I didn't carry them for 9 months I will carry them for the rest of their lives, which is more than I can say for their biological moms. I'm a proud stepmom of 3 beautiful kids!

I felt the same way before the summer started, so I took a "break"- no ovulation tests, no cycle tracking or timing sex, no thinking about baby. It actually really helped me to relax and enjoy a few weeks of the summer. I think it helped our marriage to take some pressure off, and it gave me a surge of energy to keep moving forward with tests and treatment. All the waiting sucks but if it's on your terms, it makes it easier to catch your breath and keep going. Prayer is good too :-)

I feel like giving up every month it's horrible. Thankfully, as the majority of us do, I have an amazing husband who is ridiculously lovely and deals with all my craziness and sadness and constantly reminds me what our life will be once we get what we want. You have to cling to the tiniest bit of hope. Unfortunately, it's rarely easy to do

Because you WILL get there. I always worry because at school we're told "if you have sex even one time you could get pregnant" which makes you think that when you finally get round to TTC, it should happen immediately. Which as many of us can attest to, is not the case. Your little bundle of love will happen. Might take two months, might take two years! But it will happen. And I don't necessarily mean just conceiving naturally, there are so many children out there that need loving homes, one way or another, your love will find you.
