7w3d, what is the big black shadow on the top of the babe? Doctor said it might be the blood. I ask my OB will that affect the babe, he just tell me come back see him in 3weeks. My question is is that bleeding normal?

I have a couple of those too. I believe they are called subchorionic bleeds. They are common and only pose a risk if they get bigger. They should give u another scan to check on that in.the near future. Ive had alot of bleeding this pregnancy. 9w3d, was just in.the er over the wknd bc of clots and blood. Baby is fine but I have a couple of those bleeds. Hoping for a good outcome. I wouldn't worry to.much.

I have one also. It was there at 5w, 8w, still there and I'm now 11w3 days. I go see the doctor next Wednesday. For the most part, they typically dissolve. But on the bright side, you get more frequent ultrasounds to check the status ?

The dr didn't say why it was there? If the dr didn't show concern I wouldn't worry too much at this point. Bleeding during the first and second trimester is common... and doesn't by any means mean doom. Hopefully in 3 weeks it will be all cleared up and you won't have to think twice about it!!
