Glucose tolerance test???

Question

I just switched to a new Dr and they are having me come in to do this test, is there anything I need to do to prepare for it? Is there something wrong with me?

Every pregnant woman I know has to have that test. It's for gestational diabetes. Most do just fine and their results are negative. If results are shaky, you do a more extensive test to be sure.

​I believe you do fast for it, but your doctor should tell you for sure. They'll give you a very very sweet drink to down and then they'll check your blood sugar.

I have to have one too...The doctor told me that you have to fast over night...then they take your blood then u have to drink an original lucazade...test your sugar levels after you have drunk it...then they test you an hour later to see how your body

I have to get this and they told me I would need to fast from the night before. You go in get your bloods done then you take the drink, they make you wait two hours and then do more bloods
