Can smoking cigs effect your fertility?

I've been smoking for 10 months and just recently quit last month in hopes of conceiving. Can that effect my chances of getting pregnant?

absolutely. my dad is a retired ob/gyn, and he said to cut alcohol to one glass a week when we start trying. I did that, along with virtually eliminating caffeine, and I got pregnant two months later.

Not sure about conception but smoking can prevent your placenta from working efficiently resulting in a low birth weight , also affects the hypothalamus which regulates baby's body temp making them more at risk of sudden infant death syndrome (cot death) id try to cut down or stop before ttc if you can. I got pregnant twice while smoking but quit through out the pregnancy and breast-feeding.
