All I know about twins is what my doctor told me: identical twins (one egg that splits) tend to be more random, whereas fraternal twins (two eggs fertilized at the same time) tend to run in families. Age is also a factor: the older the mom, the greater the chances of twins. Hope that's not too much of a non sequitur.
