SO of 2 years going into the Navy and im nervous because people always tell me long distance relationships never work. . ?

My husband is in the military he's always gone on drill evey month.. But 4 years ago he was deployed.. It's hard to do long distance, but know that he's thinking about you, every man that's in the military that has a woman back home.. That's all they are thinking about, and they can't wait to be back home with her.

My husband is in the army, so we are apart all the time.  The distance definitely sucks, but it's not a "I'm worried he will cheat" it's just a "I hate being without my best friend"
​as long as you're truly in love, it will all work out :)  facetime/Skype/texting makes it all so much easier. During deployment we use little conversation starter books so we make sure to talk about different stuff all time, otherwise it sometimes feels a little too monotonous, it helps us to continue learning about each other and keep everything a little more lively haha.

I read a quote once that said "distance doesn't ruin a relationship...lack of trust does" I felt it was right on! When my husband and I first started dating (not long distance) it was rough, we had a lot of trust issues but thankfully we stuck it out and worked through it. Then I moved away for school for a year and the following year we were supposed to be together but he moved away for a job. It was hard...really hard but we wanted to be together and we trusted each other 100% so we made it through! It will be emotionally draining  but you have to find what works for you to make it work!

I was in CO he was in CA we have known each other since 2003, after college we married in 2008, we will celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary this month. If you communicate you should be fine.
