Fibroids?

I'm 15 and Im a junior in high school. I've had my period since the summer before freshman year. Lately my period has been a little wacky. In fact my period ended on the 24th and started again on the 1st. Super heavy flow too. Is it possible to have fibroids when your 15? Please help!

When I first got my period, I would only have super heavy flows throughout, and the worst cramps ever. At first it was fairly regular at 25 days, but then started to go crazy shortening up to 15, or extending out to 35 days. This can happen at a younger age, especially since you're still not fully grown. Hormones are going to be out of whack and you are going to be very emotional. Sometimes you'll be fine, other times you may cry for no reason, and then other times you may just not want anybody to touch you. Every woman is different. If you haven't seen a ob/gyn yet, you should make an appointment soon, just to make sure EVERYTHING checks out. You can even request that the doctor be a woman if you're worried. In the meantime, if you're on good terms with your mom, or an aunt or grandmother, I would recommend asking her how her menstrual periods fluctuated toward the beginning. Although you will not be identical, it may give you a better idea of what to anticipate in the future.
