Bra: Good or bad for breasts?

I've heard that wearing a bra actually makes them more saggy as you get older, and not wearing one makes them more perky over time. Is this true? Does anyone know?

I don't think it's true. I'd say as a general rule having weaker chest muscles under your boobs makes them sag, so bra or no bra if you tone your chest and back your boobs won't sag. :) I do agree with not wearing a bra to bed, though, not because it will make you saggy, just because its uncomfortable!

For big boobs I'm sure not wearing a bra to support the boobs / tissue is likely to add to the sag. I don't think wearing a good fitting bra adds to this, but boobs will always sag with time. Even fake boobs sag and need to be done again.

I don't wear bras. I haven't since I was 16 because I think I look heavier with them on lol. Anyway, I'm 26 almost now and my boobs look awesome. Favorite part of me. ?

I've heard the same thing. Even if it is true, i wouldn't be comfortable running around without a bra. :P

As soon as I get home from running errands or whatever, my bra comes off. I used to wear one all the time when I was younger but now I free-boob it most of the time. I found that after nursing my son, my boobs sagged a lot more and looked deflated.

If you wear a bra to bed and/or always wear a push up bra then they will sag when your older so just don't wear a bra to bed and maybe wear a push-up like 2-3 days a week

It's true - the technical term is viscoelasticity.  Breast tissue, by nature, has low viscoelasticity. If you don't want your tatas to sag, wear a bra. And find the right size, which will make it comfortable to wear all day.

I wear my bras all the time except for bed and they're pretty perky. So i guess it all depends.
