What do I do?

Every time I ask my husband if he wants to "make a baby", it's always not right now, let's wait a little longer. Did a of you have this problem? I want him to be ready but I want a baby.....how did you/do I fix this? I have waited :(

I'm pretty sure "make a baby" turns men off from being horny and having great sex. And also then it becomes a chore. Just grab him and make love to him!!

You need to get to the bottom of his fear on a baby. Is it money, freedom, afraid he's going to be a bad dad. Good luck

You can't make him ready just like someone couldn't have made you ready before you were. Talk with home about what you want, what he wants and what's stopping him from having a baby.

​I was ready before my partner, partly because I felt it was going to take forever and my partner thought it would happen quickly. We talked about it every so often and eventually he said he was ready. It was then that we started trying.

​If I pushed him into something he wasn't ready for and we got preg, I always worried he'd resent me for it. I didn't want that and I didn't want to push him into something that he wasn't ready for, just like I wouldn't like to be pushed. I guess it's about working together and respecting each other's wishes!!

I think that some men will never truly be "ready" but once the baby is on its way or here, then they'll be excited. I wouldn't be too pushy about it but I would talk seriously to him about why you feel it's time, what his concerns are, etc. A lot of men don't realize how difficult it can be to get pregnant and how much a woman's fertility decreases the older they get. When he finally is 100% ready, it may be too late for you to get pregnant or could take a long time.

I have been with my husband for 9 years and for 7.5 of those years my DH has sworn he would never have kids but I wanted them more than anything.

​He finally changed his mind 8 years into our relationship/marriage and we are currently pregnant with our first child.

​You have to let them come to it in their own time. Trickin or forcing kids in a man is never a good thing. Some men snap, some run, u could end up a single mom, so much can go wrong when you trap a bear into a corner and expect them to be ok.

​I know it's hard to keep waiting but you need to give him more time.
