Has anyone here kept the gender of thier child unknown untill birth? How was the experience knowing what you had for the first time?

I'm 31 weeks and we chose to wait for the surprise! It was only difficult when two friends due the same month found out the sex of their babies. Now I'm just so excited for 9 weeks from now to not only meet my child but find out if we have a son or daughter. It's been really fun and easy to get neutral stuff!

I didn't know the gender of my baby it was a lot of fun cause everyone around us was getting frustrated with us not finding out and we had to keep telling the medical staff we didn't want to know. When I gave birth the midwife threw baby on my tummy and we forgot to see what I had I was just cuddling my baby when a nurse said so what is it and the midwife flipped the baby over and we found out we had a baby girl it was an amazing expo wrench and I plan to do it when I have another baby

I didn't want to know, I just told myself the whole pregnancy that I would have a boy and he would look just like me? and that's exactly what I got.

My fiancé and I are going to keep it a secret when we decide to make a family. We want to love the baby no matter what. He wants a girl, I want a boy. So one of us would be a little disappointed.. But if the baby is in our arms there isn't any way in heck that we would be disappointed!

I have only gotten pregnant once, miscarried at 8&1/2 weeks, but I have always thought about how fun it would be to keep it a secret but family loves to buy things and I would hate to have all gender neutral stuff. Are you considering waiting?
