For me marriage is just a piece of paper.  I feel like I am his wife and he is my husband so I think as long as your well committed why not.

My DF and I decide to ttc in the first year of our relationship. We were both 35 and wanted kids right away. We are now ttc #2 and we aren't getting married until 2016. Some people have kids with their SO and never get married. It all depends on what makes you happy

I'm open to that if my daughter choses that for herself later on in life. I chose to wait to get married (@23) & to have a baby (@26).

​I have a sister who didn't and it was sort of frowned upon but it's because we were raised under a strict Catholic "old school" way. My parents got over it though lol

My SO and I are not married, we wanted to start a family but my father passed away two years ago, I still can't handle the idea of walking down the isle without him there to give me away... What should be a day of joy would just be too gut wrenching hard for me, my mother supports us TTC and we have lived together for three years so to each their own.

I feel the same as Felicia. My fiancé and I have been together for almost two years, lived together for almost the same amount of time, and have been TTC for about three months. I couldn't imagine being with anyone else and if you feel that way and are ready for a baby, go for it. Everyone has their own views, but I think if you know your SO, and are ready, that's great.

Go for it! Lifes to short. if thats what you both want & you are 100% sure you are with the one you love & want to be with for the rest of your life then there is no problem what so ever. A ring doesn't aways show how much someone loves you?
