Ovulation tests?

So been ttc for 4 months since getting implant out. Havent been using opks or anything so far. Only really going by calendar. Unsuccessful so far so gonna try my luck with ovulation tests.  When is the best time to start testing and if I get a positive when should I bd? Thanks in advance :-)

I think they say to start testing on day 7 or so of your cycle. My rule of thumb is BD every other day till positive OPK then BD next three days. I just used them for the first time this month and am in TWW. AF scheduled for 10/22 but hoping she doesn't show.

I've read many ladies o'ed as soon as 3-5 days after AF so I recommend buying the dollar store ones (cheap but really work) so you can start testing as soon as you can! You will have better knowledge of your body!

I used first response and followed the instructions in the box to a "t" ended up conceiving on 2nd month of using them!! =)

My fertility nurse said cycle day 8.  Then make sure to bd that day. My dh and I have been trying for over a yr. We're in the beginning stages of finding out the reason. Up until this month I only relied on the calendar. But we're bd every other day starting when AF ends. Keeping fingers crossed and praying. Also started using pre-seed this month. Hope this helps...I'm still a beginner on all this.
