If it is then my guy isn't normal. I'm allowed to talk to whoever I want, whenever I want, and so is he. Our relationship is built around trust. Not jealousy.

It depends on how you are talking and act around said guy... Its just a relationship thing I think... if you feel your s/o is being flirtatious you're not going to like your s/o talking to him/her.

My boyfriend is horrible with this! Friends that I have had for 20 yrs, he is jealous of. Coworkers.we constantly fight over it. Drives me crazy. I can't stand it.

Well there is one guy that I have never talked to and didn't have a clue who he was that told him he pushed me against the wall and kissed me so yes I can understand him getting mad if I ever did talk to him. But my friends that I've had for a while it drives me crazy. And he talks to one girl all the time and she likes him but he lies about talking to her. He always says he doesn't talk to her but every time I see them around each other they are talking to each other I don't know what to do.

In my experience it was a maturity thing. We got together when we were 21 and he was very jealous. As our relationship progressed and the trust between us grew, things got easier.  We have been together for five years now, married for seven months and it's a non issue.
