TTC later in life

I am 35 yrs old and have a 15 yr old daughter and a 10yr old so that do not live with me since i was homeless and all i let them be with family so they were not. My boyfriend (51) has 2 daughters 27 and 22 and 2grand kids...however i want to have a baby and be mom from start to finish without missing a thing, but he doesnt but takes no precautions and i havent been on bc and he knows i see a fertility dr. What should i do? Consider his feelings or think if he happens he knows what he is doing?
