Does it sound like a miscarriage?

Whitney
My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years and have been TTC for over a year. Him and I both have fertility issues. He has lower T levels, but still within "normal" range, while I have a hormonal imbalance, PCOS, and a tilted uterus.

Here's where it gets iffy... In August, I had pregnancy symptoms starting 3 weeks before my expected period (which is never "regular"). Including bloating, breast tenderness, irritability, cramping, and one day of random spottig, pelvic pain, and headaches. I just felt pregnant. But about a week before my expected period, I started spotting. It was not a whole lot of blood, and no cramping. The spotting lasted about a week, when my usual period only lasts 3-4 days. I called my doctor to make an appointment, but they couldn't get me in until 3 days after the spotting stopped. All they did wa a pregnancy test, which came back negative.
The next month I skipped my period all together. And it wasn't until the first week in October that I got my period again.
Could I have even pregnant (2ish weeks) and miscarried? Or was it just a fluke early random period?
