What are y'all's thoughts on BF in public?

I feed both my kids without covers whenever they ask or need to be nursed. The US sexualizes breasts and that's why people are so uncomfortable with it. The reality is breasts are there to feed babies. You see more tit on advertisements than you would when I'm in public nursing . I use the two shirt method so unless I'm latching or unlatching the only thing you see is the top of my boob. I'm setting an example for my daughter and when her turn comes at motherhood I am confident she will feel comfortable feeding her babies naturally with confidence

I personally will not use a cover. It's the most natural thing I can do for my baby. I was honestly a little hesitant at first but it was my older children who are 14 and 11 who pushed me to do it and kept telling me it was no big deal! I think my oldest would snap at someone who even tried to say something hahaha! I've only had one person stare me down and I finally looked up at her, made eye contact with a little glare and said "if you want a show I will give you a show and embarrass you not me!" She quickly turned around ?

I've breastfed both of my daughters in public with no problem.  Most times I wear a tank under another shirt so there is no need to use a cover.  I used covers with my first and didn't bother with them at all with my second daughter.  I found that the cover actually drew more attention to the fact that I was breastfeeding than when I would go without it.

Go for it! I think my biggest fear is someone saying something to me. Or looking so hard they accually see my nipple. Both are wrong of other people. Not me feeding my kid. I'm not getting up on stage or drawing attention. I'm just feeding my baby the most perfect food. 
I don't feel like covering up is fair. But there are ways to be discreet.

I do but I get seriously anxious about it. My daughter hates the cover and screams bloody murder so I am careful about how I dress and hold her feeding while out in general.

I shouldn't be so worried about it but I'm a FTM and the first time I ever BF in public I was asked to leave my table with my inlaws and go to the bathroom. My daughter was 2 months old and cluster feeding every 45 minutes. I was mortified and couldn't speak but my MIL reamed them out and I finished my meal at the table. After that it took me 3 months to work up the courage to dine out with my little girl again. I wish I hadn't let ignorant people dictate my comings and goings so much. It made me feel trapped in my house.

Not sure how my plans will play out but I am HOPEFUL that my baby can latch and take a bottle. I plan to pump when going in public because my husband isn't really okay with public breast feeding.

I won't use a cover! It is a mother's legal right. If my baby is hungry, I will feed her.

anywhere you have a right to be, you have a right to breastfeed! its literally the law here in indiana! and my opinion is, if your baby is hungry then feed them and if someone says something to you, tell them to shove it!! they wouldnt tell a bottle feeding mom to go to the bathroom, why should a breast feeding mom! everyone is so adiment about moms breastfeeding but when they do it, its like everyone is afraid of a breast! get over it people!!
