Heavy lifting?

Question

I am 4 weeks pregnant and will have to lift heavy objects for the next week. I haven't been to a dr and haven't even told my family. My one year review is coming up so there's no way I want to tell my boss yet. Will I be ok lifting ~50 lb things for about a week?

I was a nurses aid when I was pregnant. My OB said I didn't have to have any lifting restrictions but not to lift more that what my body is already use to.  And at that time I was moving people that where more that 50 lbs.  So if it's something you normally do I wouldn't worry to much but if it makes you nervous you may need to let the cat out of the bag.

I lift people for a living lol I need to talk to my OB about it but if it's something you did before pregnancy it should be safe during, just don't get crazy.

I did a weightlifting class my whOle first trimester. It's important to use good form- lift with your legs not your back, and very important to not hold you're breath while lifting, breathe out instead, this will keep you from feeling faint and building up pressure internally

If you've been doing it before pregnancy and your body is used to it then yeah cause I heard people can still lift weights if they were doing it before but that's a heard so please ask the doctor just to be sure.
