Wild game & Pregnancy?

Question

Ok so my in-laws and I got into a debate whether wild game is ok to eat during pregnancy.

My father in law had bear meat and offered me some. I told him that if I wasn't pregnant I would try it but I'd rather not until I ask my doctor. That's were the debate began.

Does anyone know whether it's ok or not?

We don't eat beef, we only do deer so I didn't even think it would be an issue. As long as it's cooked fully it should be fine. Shoot, wild game is probably better for you than what you can find in the store.

See I just don't know where my in laws got the meat or how long they had it out on the counter so I'm very wery about trying it.

Its totally fine as long as everything is done food safe. So if it just came out of over in last little while its fine. If its been on the counter for the last 4 hours its a good idea to pass.

I've ate deer meat, along with mutilple other females that have been pregnant in my family. I'm sure as long as it's cooked properly it's just fine! Enjoy!
