What age do you plan on discussing periods and sex with your daughter(s)?

When I was around 6 I was aware how babies grow from eggs in mummy's tummy and when Daddies seeds/sperms bring half of their genes... I think they left how they got there as a bit of a grey area as I thought it all happened through the belly button and then the baby was pooped out when it was done ?

When I was about 8ish I was playin with "mummy things" (tampons) and she told me all about periods that night with the help of a library book.

I am glad my parents were honest with me, as was always an inquisitive child with a scientific mind. Now I am about to qualify as a nurse... And one day possibly as a midwife!

I was 10 when I started my periods, and I can never remember having 'the talk' with my mum... As we've never been close ... I'm now 19 with a 2 year old daughter and our relationship is nothing like mine and mums so i think it depends, they learn about sex and periods and all that in primary school now, which I personally believe is to young, my younger sister was just 9 when they taught her at school where babies came from and about the body. Xxx

I was 13 when I started my period. I don't like how my dad have me the talk but my mom was much better about it. But it never got brought up until I got my period an started dating
