Where to Wed!! ??

Ok So I did a poll but I don't think that's enough I need to explain... Lol The only thing stressing me out about planning my wedding is where and how to do it. I myself want to do a traditional wedding but friends and family keep telling me no and telling me to save my money, because you spend all that money when just one day and the day goes by so fast.

Second is Tahiti. Just me and him wed on the island of Tahiti.

Third, just go to Vegas wed there and spend a week there.

But to me with the second and third choice I feel like we're going to have to spend money anyway because we both went to reception back at home with her family and friends, please help me Lol

I been married about a month now. first we think of doing las vegas too but for me when im actually plan it thro, I, myself want to do a traditional wedding:) and i list everything needed and search online, pinrest , as u plan it u pay little bit of those stuff from ur paycheck at the time. We put money in the jar at least 20buck a week or two to just has those extra on the side. good luck n have fun planing it!!! make sure u have ur own time , relax and bridemaids they will help u some too!!!

My husband and I got married in Reno in a little chapel. We went to the court house and got our marriage license and got married the same day. Then we stayed there for ten days after the wedding. Then when we came back and had a reception with  family and friends it was a pig roast. Our reception cost $1500 all together cake and all. And our wedding was $150. And since I wanted wedding photos my husband's friend took them for free.  And we just went to pretty places around Reno and took the pictures there. I always wanted a big wedding too but my husband and I talked and decided that we just wanted to get married. And didn't want to have to put paying for the wedding on our family.

This is your day you do what you want to do! If you want a traditional wedding then by all means do it. Traditional wedding don't have to be expensive, believe I did a very simple traditional wedding. I had to stand up to a lot of people and tell them no. This is an important day it's not something you will want to look back on and wish you had done differently. I know it's not all about the party etc... The most important is marring your partner, but I loved having those I loved there to support us.

You should do what you two want to do. Having family and friends input is good but at the end of the day its your big day. Yes its only one day but it is one of the most important days of your life. Have a wedding that you can look back on say its exactly what you wanted.
