After sex?? Lube?

Okay so the past couple times I've had sex with my man I have had like a soreness around the outer part of my vag. The pain lasts about a day and then heals. I was thinking that maybe I wasn't properly lubricated the first time but then the second I made sure I told him to. He is really "thick" down there and we sometimes don't do it for weeks at a time so idk if I tighten up or whatever but I'm not sure what is causing this. :( help?
