Late period=late ovulation?

Question

My period came (a LONG) 9 days late. Lasted 5 days. I was due to ovualte NOW but since I just ended my period on Sunday 10/26 do I count 14 days for ovulation?  I wouldn't be fertile right after a late period? Since my boyfriend and I don't use a condom and I'm not on the pill , I normally keep track of my cycles so I don't have sex around the fertile window. No babies for me anytime soon.

The first day of your cycle is the first day you bleed, so it doesn't matter how long it is. The average cycle lasts about 28 days, some women have shorter/longer cycles. So keep that and the fact that this app is only an estimate.

If your period is normally around 28 cycl3s, then in theory you should ovulate around 14 days AFTER the day you you start you period, give or take a few.

Use opks and try Ovia app they do allow u to edit ur cycle and change length were other apps don't and fertility friend over shoots my period becouse I ovulate late in a short 28/30 day cycle

There is really now way to tell for sure you ovulate unless you track your cycles or use ops (which can get expensive) if you are trying to avoid pregnancy, I highly recommend learning to track your cycle. I have read Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni weschler. It will teach you everything you need to know about your reproductive system.

I am not sure if you know this or not, bit because spermicide can live in you for up to 5 days, it is important to document you symptoms so that you know which 8 to 10 days you need to abstain in order to effectively avoid peegnancy, not just day 14, it would more day 9 to 15 or 16.
