Adopting?

Question

So my Dh really wants to adopt he was adopted as a child and wants to give anothe kid what his adoptive parents gave to him. 
We've been trying to conceive for 6 months and both able to have kids. 
So I would love to adopt just would feel guilty especially cause we are able to have kids.
What do you guys think is it ok for people who can conceive to adopt?

Of course!!! Nothing wrong with a blended family! My parents had 3 biological children, then adopted me, then had another biological child. With all the children needing homes, it's the LEAST selfish thing you could do!

My son was adopted. I was very young. Now that I am older and have another child. I am deeply considering it. It's ok. Its not about if you can physically make a child. It's about your desire to raise a child. Your adopted baby will not care about sperm counts and cervical mucus. You won't care either when you have a new baby in your arms... no matter how it got there.

Absolutely! Adoption is a wonderful choice if it fits for your family, which it sings like it does. Adoption isn't always out only a last resort option.

Of course it is.  Go for it. Especially since he was adopted I think it's cool. U should do it there's so many babies needing homes out there. If anything I feel worse that I keep popping these kids out when there are so many in need of parents lol.

I think it's a wonderful idea!!  My husband and I are actually planning to do both...adopt and have our own... There are so many children everywhere that need good stable homes.

I was adopted as a baby, after my parents had two sons on their own. Adoption is an opportunity to bring up a child who may never know a loving family or proper upbringing. I have a son, and I'm ttc..but i would love to adopt down the road. Its a rewarding experience for all parties.

I think adoption is a wonderful thing! There are so many children out there needing a good home. if it's something you can provide and want then you should go after it. Never feel guilty for wanting to give something to a child they may never have.
