Baby shower or no?

I know most people only do a baby shower for the first (maybe second) baby. My fiancé and I were both married before, and came into our relationship with children. Our youngest is 6. We are expecting our first together. I'm wondering if it's rude to have a baby shower or not.

If it's your first together then it's not rude, I personally wouldn't have a typical, "girly baby shower with presents" maybe get your and his friends and have a bbq to help celebrate, if they want to bring something along great!

I'm not having a baby shower unless someone throws it for me. I had one with my first and it was just a waste of money.
