What is considered too young to have a baby?

I mean I am 20 years old and I have a nice car 2012, I work full time at a bank making over $15 an hour. Been going to college 3 years. And I have been with my boyfriend strong 2 years and we live together in an amazing neighborhood. I don't like to be told I am still a child who can't have kids. I am grown and forget age I do what I have to do to maintain myself and I have amazing experience with kids. Shoot I basically raised my cousins baby from birth. I'm just asking what would people consider too young to have a kid. I am a Christian as well so you don't have to tell me "enjoy your life" cause some people consider that as drink and party while you can. But I don't do those things either way? so waiting on Gods timing to bless me and of course being careful along the way. ?

Generally, I feel like if you feel the need to ask if you're too young, you're probably not ready. If a couple is ready, they do not worry about others.

You sound like you are responsible and really have your life going in a good direction:) my advice though would be to wait until after you're done with school. Not because you're too young or "still a child yourself" but because that's just what I would do in your situation. Seems like the easiest situation. You don't want to find once you have a child that you can't manage everything and then have to give up school. I think education is so important and you probably only have at the most a couple years left. That's no time at all in the grand scheme of things. Good luck!

When you feel responsible enough and stable enough to bring another life into the world I think you'll know when you're ready. I think anyone in school is too young to have kids.

I to am a Christian woman. And I have never been out partying and drinking..
I'm almost 30 next month and I have 5 beautiful kids. I never regretted having kids... me and my husband were responsible adults and he made plenty of money...But times did get hard like when he lost his job and we did have kids to feed. But I love being with my family, while others enjoy being free. I think both are okay choices. I honestly believe it's up to that own individual on what you feel is ready

When you're ready. When you feel stable and are in a position to take care of a child, emotionally, physically and financially. Anything under 18 is too young.

I think too young is immature teens having children. That being said just because you are financially stable an in a healthy relationship you should just be ready in your own mind set. I wouldn't have a baby while still in school. If your only doing 4years get the last year over with an then try for a baby. Another thing is an it may just be me but I waited until I was actually married to have a baby. I'm 21 an pregnant with my first an was married at 20.

I had my son at 15 my mom was sick In the hospital while I was pregnant and whole he was a newborn didn't have to much help that was young! Now I'm 21 married to a great man house car job and baby fever is happening lol but I'm definitely ready now! I think you sound pretty responsible!

What is the rush? You still have 20 years of fertility. Why not be married for financial protection for you and baby? Older parents are wiser and in a better position to care for children emotionally. Between 25-35 is good for most.

I think that whenever you feel ready, want a baby, and can comfortably support a baby, then you're old enough!
