Married before medical school?&baby?

I'm 19,
Will be graduating will my Ba in 2016
Then entering medical school @ age 21.
I want to be married before medical school & with our first baby.

Wait on the baby part! My SIL is an oncologist and when she was interning she worked crazy hours and my brother needed to work full time to cover the household expenses, neither of them had time for a baby. She says waiting was the smartest thing she ever did because it's still a challenge being a doctor and a mother but would've been a loosing battle if she had my nieces before graduating, and those are her words. It's great to have high goals just don't make them any more challenging then they already are.

It will be nearly impossible to get through med school with a baby to take care of. I would wait

Unfortunately every mom I knew that was in med school eventually had to quit. In your internship you will be working 70-100 hours a week while making no money, how will you care for a baby? They need attention. They need to be raised by their parents, they dont want to see you only on special occasions.

Marrying is okay, but I would wait on the baby part.

It is really hard to have a family during medical school!

I got married this year (24) and am applying next cycle to med school (cross fingers will enter at 26) would not dream of having a child. My husband is an MS1 and has no time. He does have classmates that have kids, but they all have spouses that work full time and take care of the baby. My advice is wait until 4th year or midway thru residency.

If you find the right one then please take advantage. There are plenty of women that waited and they are in their 40's lonely and childless.

It will be hard because babies are a handful but if I'm able to do it u can do it too! ?currently in my 2nd yr of doing a bsc in forensics with a 15 month old baby.

Hard pass on a baby. It’s no easy task.

People do it all the time, you will not be an anomaly. If you go that route though, make sure it all happens before, not during.
