Did you gain weight on birth control?

I'm currently wanting to ask my doctor to put me on birth control. So I was going to go for the Implant. But then I read online that women are gaining FIFTY pounds or so on it. So, I'm leaning more towards the shot but apparently you gain weight on that, as well! 
You see, I've been pushing 200 pounds since I was about thirteen (I'm 5'7") and I just recently got all of the extra embarrassing fat off this year. I DO NOT WANT IT BACK! Please help!!
