Pap smear? Ouch

Do Pap smears hurt? Or are they just uncomfortable cause of the position your in? How long does the procedure last?

Not really bad pain however they are just uncomfortable feeling. It wasn't very long at all. Maybe a minute or two.

i have an awesome doctor who puts me at ease that ive been seeing since i was 17 and wasnt even sexual active yet. my first pap wasnt a full one as i was a virgin and we joke the whole time. i was really nervous the first time i went too. just remeber most of these people do this all the time and it may take a couple different providers before you find your fit. ( i got lucky!) if you have a close girlfriend or female relative that you feel comfortable being in the room (they can leave before the actual exam if youd like) it may be best to have her yag along.

It didn't hurt. it was just very awkward because I'm shy, it didn't hurt but it was a little bit uncomfortable...my boobs getting smacked around during my breast exam hurt more than my Pap smear.

It takes like 2 minutes. It all depends on the dr. Some are a little rougher than others.

I remember getting one years ago and it hurt my brothers gf went for one and said how painful it was well I went for my 2 nd one and was easy as no different to my nail touching it 
​Apartnly they use these softer Brussels on them instead of the harder stuff now just take a big breathe out as they do it
