Uti? Keep getting them

I keep getting them almost every two days. I drink plenty of water, take the Azo pills which make them go away but they keep coming back. I pee all the time and I don't know why I keep getting them. Help?

Uti is an infection, you need an antibiotic to get it out of your system.

Azo is really just to help with pain, it's also a hassle when my patients bring in their pee for testing and it's basically glowing from the Azo. Your best bet is to go to the doc to receive an antibiotic like zpack, levaquin,macrobid or cipro

You cannot get rid of a uti once you have one. Unless you get antibiotics. The over the counter stuff just makes It seem like it's gone. Go to the minute clinic in Cvs if you can't get to a doc. That's where I go for my utis since it's fast!

When I get the first signs of a uti I take cystex and drink 100% cranberry juice. I take a cranberry pill every day to keep them at bay.

I get them every year 3 sometimes 4 times a year and take it from me! That Azo crap don't work! Go to the dr! That stuff is to help with symptoms not to cure it! Go get antibiotics it's the only way u will get rid of it! I tried getting rid of it on my own and I got really sick!! And it spread to the kidneys and ended in the ER go to the dr! ASAP!

I had to go to the urologist for them.. It could be a number of things
1. The azos are not getting rid of it.
2. You need antibiotics because you need to kill the bacteria once and for all
3. This is how my dr explained it to me "your bladder is a dumb organ and it thinks it's always infected" & you just need to reset it
4. Drink lots of water and stay away from sugar. Also take cranberry pills.
