Hickeys! Is it okay to give them?

I gave my boyfriend a hickey on my birthday, but the next day his family spotted it on his neck. Now I feel really embarrassed to go to his house. Some friends say it's just something you don't do. What do you guys think though?

There's nothing wrong with hickeys! I don't see how they are disrespectful at all yes I have had them on my neck but now I have a job I tend to stick to having them where they can't be seen but my SO likes biting my neck so I can't really help some marks

Neither myself or my SO like them.. We both agree it just doesn't look professional and looks immature. That's just our opinion. Plus it's a pain to cover them up.
