how can you tell if you have a STD?

I slept with a guy unprotected and I haven't been with but one other person how will you know if you get a STD without getting a pap smear I have one coming up I was just wondering if you can tell without a doubt without a pap smear.

Go to the doc to get a pap and bloodwork drawn for all the known STDs..watch for any vaginal itching, unusual discharge, vaginal lesions or bumps too

I had no symptoms except spotting when I had chlamydia and I thought that was the birthcontrol it wasn't get tested as soon as possible the bacteria can cause damage to your uterus or worse you could have something that need more treatment

Some STDs don't have warning signs. It's best if you are concerned to get a pap. If there is something then it's the only way to diagnose and possibly treat it and if there isn't anything then you have your reassurance.
