White history month?

Every year, in February - some always asks, "But what about white history month?!"

So let's talk about it.
- What would white history touch upon?
-Is it even needed, considering history taught in schools is pretty Eurocentric already?

Lol no white history month is not necessary at all. Everything I learned in school was about white people until I got to the civil rights movement. And also there were the two or so years of world history where we learned about Asia, Middle East, but honestly I don't ever remember learning African.  I always thought I would have liked history so much more if they taught more years of world history. I thought it was so much more interesting to learn the history of other cultures than repeating United States history over and over.

It would touch upon nothing because we haven't done anything to deserve a "white history" month. There are months like black history month and gay pride month for a reason. They have been kicked to the ground for years, centuries. Who were the ones that did so? Us. White people. Their voices NEED to be heard. Ours clearly have been heard enough.

I personally think black history month is a ridiculous concept. I don't think any heritage should be narrowed to one month. Honestly "white history" has 11 months

Half black half white here. There shouldn't be any history "month" awareness & teaching should be all year round & acurate.

I don't like that we only take 1month to teach children about black history. I think it should be built in to the curriculum with the rest of history. It's not like all of it happened in one month it happened while other things were going on.

Ok. I personally think black history month is racist in itself. Is the African American race only worth caring about for a month. And why are black people and Hispanics the only two minorities that get a month. Why not Asian Americans....Indians (it was their country in the first place) why just those two. I don't think there should be any racial celebration. Everyone is who they are regardless of race
