Asking for honest advice. (Long)

I'm madly in love with this guy I've been dating for a year. I've never felt this way about anyone before and I didn't know I could love someone so much. He also told me he's never felt like this before. But of course, I moved and he's going to college :( It's really hard trying to keep the relationship when we're going down different paths. We both thought it'd be better to let each other go... It's the hardest thing ever. But last week I was upset and we were fighting and I said some hurtful things. I never meant any of it and I've apologized over and over letting him know how sorry I am and how much I care. But he hasn't talked to me no matter what I do.. Should I give him time or should I just give up...
