It's fine in moderation. (AS TOLD BY MY DOCTOR). I have no desire to smoke anymore, it seemed to have tapered off as my pregnancy progressed, but I am very pro-marijuana--a medical card holder AND activist. Don't overdo it, don't inhale any dry herb or use rolling papers, blunt wraps, or concentrates (resin, wax, dabs), don't take big rios to the point where you're choking, and don't hold your breath--pace yourself. Use vaporizers and water-filtered pieces; preferably with multiple perks and ice catches. 
And for those who want to call me stupid, I graduated college with a 4.3, was on the deans list for 4 years straight and was Valedictorian--Salutatorian for both my high school diploma and both Associates Degrees. I have done numerous studies in drug sciences, a few of them containing expectant mothers, and I'll be happy to share my research and statistics with anyone who wants to hear them if they ask nicely. Ignore the bashing. Pregnant women take all types of chemical drug but make it seem bad when it's a natural substance. Marijuana helps control nausea and also open appetite that is lost during pregnancy. In Europe mothers smoke and also drink wine and even beer!!! But I wouldn't recommend the beer... ANYWAY. If you decide to smoke it's not selfish. You're not a bad mom. It's safe. just don't smoke it in a blunt or in a swisher or any thing like that. Don't over do it either just once in a while..

My mom smoked with my sister and she is a 4.1 GPA honor roll, valid Victorian. And in honors college. But then there one of my friends who is an idiot and some things he does, explains a lot. It just depends what stage of development the baby is in.

So...as someone who worked at a MMJ dispensary in Colorado, this is what I know.
Enough research hasn't been done to say whether smoking marijuana while pregnant is safe or not as they do not want to conduct studies on pregnant women. Research has shown that the effects can appear later in a child's life as far as attention and focus.
MMJ is legal here, however, newborn testing happens in every state and if they find THC in your baby's system, they WILL report it to DHS or CPS as it is considered child abuse.
My suggestion is using a CBD strain which can yield no THC and helps with pain.

I'm 24 weeks pregnant and I've smoked occasionally my whole pregnancy so far due to the fact that I've had morning sickness up until this point and every remedy and medicine my doctor told me to try never worked, my baby girl is currently marking in at a 26 week old's growth but I am only 24 weeks. If you're smoking occasionally I don't see the harm, obviously it's starting to get legalized for a reason, marijuana has very many uses!

Don't do it. My doctor even told me it kills brain cells, why would you put your baby at risk for a high that lasts an hour? Don't do it.
