Just went off BC to start trying! Any advice?

I was on BC for almost 20 years (started as a teen due to long periods and bad acne). Any advice or what to expect?

I have been also 20 years on birth control and TTC 5 Months.
You can check for your fertility signs, like BBT, Cervical Mucus, OvulationsKits or fertility monitor (measure of the LH concentration in the urin), to know when you will be fertile and when you will be ovulating.
You can go to the Doctor and check if you are healthy: thyroid hormones, and the cycle hormones: prolactine, estradiol,  progesteron, LH, FSH. Clamidia, HIV & Hepatitis.
Your partner can have a semen test and see if everything is fine with him (half of the infertilities issues come from the male partner).
If everything is fine and after 1 year (until 35 years old) and 6 months (+35), you may consider checking for endometriosis,  fibroids and your Fallopian Tubes. If your FT are open, you can continue trying or take the advice of your fertility Doctor (medicines, IUI, etc). If your FT are closed the only thing you can do is IVF.

I would say don't stress and patient. Don't be disappointed when you get BFN!!

Take it easy and don't stress. Was on the pill for 18 years and was 8 month TTC. I started to worry, and was told to just relax and enjoy this time. And here we are 15 weeks now :-) Sometimes its just takes time, keep enjoying this time and listen to your body.

Don't stress, try not to obsess and just enjoy the "fun" cause once the baby is here...the "fun" will be intermittent.
